About Me

Melissa White, BA,MS,MFT

I am a Registered Marriage & Family Therapist Intern #IMT3342 and a Licensed Mental Health Counselor #MH20871 with the state of Florida. I am also a Certified professional Life Coach and an Intensive Parenting Coach. I have over 15 years of experience in the social service field. I am experienced in working with the following issues/disorders: substance abuse, anxiety, depression, parenting, self-esteem, domestic violence, social skills, and challenging behaviors in children and adolescents.

Treatment Focus

My focus is to help individuals, families, and couples heal, energize, and become aware of their inner strengths. I achieve this by providing a neutral safe space, listening to your concerns, and customizing a treatment plan while utilizing a Solution-Focused Therapeutic approach.

I promise to be there for you every step of your journey. My goal is to help you grow from your struggles, heal from your pain, and move forward to where you want to be in your life.

Therapy

Depression & Anxiety

Depression, fear, and anxiety are some of the most common and uncomfortable emotions that we can experience at some point in our lives. Through counseling and treatment, I am are able to help you recover motivation, perspective, and joy that you once had in your life.

Parenting

Being a Parent is not easy, but with the guidance of a therapist it no longer has to be stressful, frustrating, or cause strain in the relationship with your child. Through therapy I will help you in creating realistic goals specific to your situation, to provide healthy coping skills and decrease any stress, anxiety, or tension related to parenting.

Relationships

Relationship counseling can be beneficial to couples who are looking to strengthen their emotional connection, in all stages of their relationship. Therapy sessions are held with both couples and is a supportive place to discuss issues and solutions to better strengthen your relationship.
